Pico Beach, San Clemente CA.
A favorite beach for it's soft sands, and beautiful waters. It also is fenced in with safe viewing of passing trains and has a swing set and slide for the kids.

Beautiful cloud formations that caused rays from the sun to touch the sand, visible to the naked eye.

The hidden park

A place where you would not think a park to be. In between businesses and new retro apartments. Over looks Town center and parts of Aliso Viejo.
Find it on Grand. No bathrooms, but is fenced in so kids can't wander. And Dyllan loves the rings.

...and the most nostalgic!
I've been taking Dyllan to Stews in Ladera Ranch since he was 2. I found it by accident when I was meeting a friend for story time at a nearby toy shop. I was intrigued by the old movie theater seats in the waiting area to the authentic barbershop chairs.

There are old toys to keep the kids entertained,tons of memories attached to walls, and ceilings for the rest of us!

If you are Star Wars Fan (like Dyllan) you will be blown away. I see something new each time I come, it's incredible!

Even the guys and dolls that cut hair, have the vintage rock-a-billy edge, making the experience all the more worth while.

Here Dyllan is posing with some best friends after a recent hair cut.

The cuts are for boys and men only.
and if you ask nicely, they will run the train for you...it goes around a track suspended from the ceiling above the waiting area.

Taekwondo

I've been taking our son, Dyllan to Taekwondo Monday-Thursday for the past few weeks. He really enjoys it and it's nice to see him try something new!

Here he is "sparring" with another member.

The kids learn quite a bit in class and the instructors are really nice. Even master Kim helps out once in a while and the little kids just "adore" him!
The Taekwondo center is located in laguna Niguel at the end of Alici and Crown Valley.

The Perfect Day

For the 4th of July, I made this simple
and delicious treats! Just dip rice crispies squares in melted frosting of choice and sprinkle while wet with decorative sprinkles! Go here to see other goodies I've made using this easy method!

One the 4th of July, we visited with friends during the day, the kids played in a blow up pool, and we all enjoyed a good old fashioned BBQ dinner. I made this votive candle holder from a Pepsi can. My friend loved it!

We left the party about 8ish and went to the Michaels craft store in Aliso Viejo where we parked our car and walked over to Grand Park for the fire works.
What a amazing show!

It was the ending to a perfect day.

Pint sized treats draw in the children , a tickling assortment of Popsicle and goodie bags, sure to keep them entertained while you enjoy your day...

Sugar Pie's a place I recommend to sit a spell, enjoying the comforts of "small talk" and days gone by.

At a place that never get's old. And always feels like home.
